Melissa Bent has been in high end sales for the past 20 years. A Marfa resident since 2013, Bent’s specialty at Marfa Realty is in second home purchases for clients in and out of Texas, commercial real estate, and wide open stretches of land. Bent began her career in the visual art world as a gallerist and curator (Rivington Arms NYC, Bent Contemporary, Marfa Invitational) and brings her astute eye and aesthetic imagination to the real estate field believing that artful living is for everyone.

Marfa Realty was opened in 1996 with the mission of serving the local community with integrity and commitment. Following my retirement from public education in 2007, my husband and I moved from San Antonio to Marfa. Not ready to truly ‘retire’, I turned my professional skill set and my interest in real estate into action and joined the Marfa Realty team. Our original mission continues, and I became the Broker/Owner in 2021. For me, real estate is about building relationships with buyers and sellers - listening, communicating, and helping each client to achieve their real estate goals. My greatest joy is matching buyers’ and sellers’ dreams, keeping transactions running smoothly, and building relationships with wonderful Marfa residents, and with the amazingly diverse visitors who, like me, passionately want to “Make Marfa Home” !

NADIA BLACK

GLOBAL REAL ESTATE ADVISOR

Nadia leads the Fridman group in Texas. She brings a wealth of local and international real estate expertise, having served as a global property advisor in local markets serving developers in Dallas, Horseshoe Bay, Tyler, San Antonio, and now Marfa as well as in International markets such as Greece, Dubai, Mexico, Costa Rica, and St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Here in Texas, she has played an integral role in the success of projects such as Bleu Ciel, Kessler West, 4811 and High Hill to name but a few. This showcases her deep understanding of the local luxury market and buyer expectations. Nadia is in the sports and entertainment division, and she specializes in new development projects as well as land and ranch. Nadia’s educational background includes degrees in Neuroscience, MBA with a concentration in leadership and organizational management, she is also fluent in Arabic and conversational Greek. This combined with her global background and sales experience, offer clients a unique advantage in both local and international markets.
